Rumana Husain is a Karachi-based writer, artist, and educator who began her career teaching at KGS and IVSAA. She headed the CAS School for a decade and co-founded the Bookgroup in 1988 to publish quality children’s books. She later served at the Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights. Author of two acclaimed coffee-table books, Karachiwala: a Subcontinent within a City, and Street Smart, she has also written or illustrated over 90 children’s books, some of which have won prestigious awards.
