Weeks after women accused American actor Chris Noth of sexual assault, he has been edited out of the Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That.

He has also been fired from CBS' Equaliser. According to multiple reports, Noth's character Big was to reunite with Sarah Jessica Parker's character Carrie in the finale, scheduled to air on Feb 3. Noth's IMDB page stated that he would appear in at least seven episodes and he'd even teased his appearance in an interview with Vogue after his character's death in episode 1.

"I think there may be something. I can’t tell you what, but…there may be a little… there may be a haunting that happens," he said. "I don’t know. I don’t want to get in trouble."

According to TV Line, Big and Carrie were supposed to reunite on the streets of Paris in the last episode, signifying Carrie finding closure after her husband's death but the creative producers didn't consider the scene important enough and removed it.

Noth has denied the allegations saying, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false. These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago — no always means no — that is a line I did not cross.”

His co-stars, however, have sided with the women who accused him. Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis released a joint statement in support of the victims.

"We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth. We support the women who have come forward and share their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it," the post read, before Nixon, Parker and Davis signed off on the joint statement.
