The 'sweatathon' encouraged physical fitness in a festival with tons of our favourite celebs in attendance.

Gatorade, a sports drink brand in Pakistan, warmed Karachi up and celebrated physical fitness and wellbeing in a festive evening over the weekend.

The event kicked off with some exciting physical fitness segments followed by grand musical performances.

Here's all that happened at the event:

A 5 km run was organised where participants won exciting prizes

The 'sweatathon' was a fun 5 km run where participants were joined by the iconic cricketer Shoaib Akhtar.

Prizes were also handed over to all participants; there was a Rs. 50,000/- for the 1st position, Rs. 30,000/- for 2nd, Rs.15,000/- for 3rd along with Nike gift vouchers for the next 30 participants.

Nusrat Hidayatullah’s boot camp had the audience witness her unmatched skill and power-packed presence.

We also spotted some of our favourite celebs supporting the sweatathon's mission in full spirit; these included Umair Jaswal, Ayesha Omar, Sana Javed, Faysal Quraishi, Zarnish Khan, Naveen Waqar, Shazia Naz and Nimra Khan.

Strings performed some of Pakistan's favourite tunes from the 90s

The performance quickly made highlights across social media in Pakistan.

The band helped us reminisce some of their most iconic tunes while also throwing in a sneak peek into some new songs for the occasion.

With the city experiencing a gradual but constant shift towards fitter lifestyles, Gatorade's Sweatathon proved to Karachi that it's wise to invest time and energy into building consistent and healthier fitness routines.

Gatorade hopes to organise similar events in future as well.
