This drama doesn't mince words when it comes to infidelity.

Mera Rab Waris is a "serial about love, hate and separation," Danish Taimoor tells Images.

The actor who will be playing the role of Haris, a liberal husband, in the upcoming drama says that the project will also show conflicts between a non-religious man marrying a religious woman.

Madiha Imam, who is featuring opposite Danish as his wife Aisha, says that her role is one in which she faces a lot of resistance, from society and her husband due to her strong religious views. "This serial is about her journey as she deals with how the society reacts to the way she is." But that doesn't stop her from being who she is, says the actor.

While people follow a basic rule of life, studies, marriage, children, etc, it's different for Aisha, says Madiha. "It's different for her as her religion is of a higher priority than anything else, and what she has to face because of it."

Both, Madiha and Danish quip that they signed the project because of the content, especially since it's been written by Jahanzeb Qamar. "All the characters were very well written. It's a beautiful story and I connected with it instantly and I had to do it," said Madiha.

The serial which has been directed by Asad Jabal also features Seemi Pasha, Abid Ali, Tanveer Jamal, Fazila Qazi, Ahsan Mohsin Ikram, Shameen Khan, Hira Hussain, among others.

Mera Rab Waris is set to air on Geo soon.
