What happens when a Nobel Peace Prize winner and a Bollywood star meet at the UN General Assembly?

UN-deniable chemistry... we swear it sounded funny in our heads.

Malala Yousafzai and Priyanka Chopra met at UNGA on Tuesday and immediately hit it off. PeeCee, who is a Goodwill ambassador of UNICEF and Malala, the youngest ever UN Messenger of Peace were present at the event to discuss the dire need for girl's education.

After the talks, the two posed together for a selfie. And Malala, the Bollywood buff that she is, couldn't help but fangirl over the desi girl.

And wouldn't you know it, Priyanka turned out to be a bigger fan of Malala.

She even posted their selfie on Instagram and gushed about Malala.

I could write a novel about how smart, incredible, inspiring, encouraging and funny this young woman is...but I will keep it brief. Malala, you are an undeniable force to be reckoned with. The world knows that. You are a role model to all the girls and boys that want to make this world a better place for the future. Spending a few hours with you and your incredible father Mr. Yousafzai ( who reminds me so much of my father) , I realized you're also just a young girl with young dreams. Your jokes, Your love for Hindi Films, your infectious laughter will always remind me of what a huge responsibility you have taken on at such a tender age.. I'm so proud to know you my friend. You inspire women like me all over the world. Can't wait to speak to u in our secret Hindi/Urdu again. ❤️

In addition to their meet, the young Nobel laureate also got a chance to talk with Nikolaj CosterWaldau (aka Game of Thrones' Jamie Lannister) at the event.

And the star was just as honoured to have met Malala.

there are a lot good peoples on both side but the great unfortunate that they not work as such that bad peoples have been doing. everyone who want peace come forward to defeat hates and promote prosperities between these two nations.

@azhar Both Priyanka and Malala are welcome in India and can travel across the country with much fanfare and freedom to speak for the causes they believe in. Wonder if they can do that in Pakistan, even thou Mala is a Pakistani Nobel laureate? A point of pride for every Pakistani?

@DIPAK SINGHAM Noble Peace Prize is a political tool used by the Norwegian Nobel Committee . Malala has not done even 1% of what Edhi did for Betterment of people of Pakistan. Edhi should have been given noble prize long back. Please remember Ghandhi also never got Noble prize as it would have offended Britishers. Only noble prize which counts are Physics chemistry Medicine and Economics.

@DIPAK SINGHAM - Dipak Ji, one incidence? Do you know what lead to that incidence; why was she targeted? Please read and read with open mind. And now, see how she is holding up to the best of the best of human beings in both her words and her deeds? Let's learn to appreciate good deeds in others - she is the most courageous girl, coming from an equally courageous family. Can you and I do what she did? She shook the terrorist organizations enough that they had to decide to target her - a child; even though targeting children doesn't get anyone - even the terrorists -any brownie points.

@ Dipak. She is brave. She did Public speaking for advocacy for girls education when she was only 9. That is why she was targeted. There are many brave kids like her. Like the ones who went to school after having survived Peshawer attack. She is the one representing them all
