If there’s one thing the internet loves more than a celebrity wedding, it’s a celebrity wedding that may or may not have happened.

Indian singer-rapper Badshah is reportedly married, or at least, that’s what social media is currently convinced of after a series of photos shared by Isha Rikhi’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, set off a flurry of speculation among fans, according to The Indian Express and Midday.

The images, posted on Instagram, show Badshah and Rikhi participating in what appear to be wedding rituals surrounded by close family. In one particularly telling moment, the two are seen exchanging garlands, the varmala ceremony that usually signals a wedding is, in fact, a wedding.

Badshah is dressed in a brown kurta with a golden saafa, while Rikhi wears a traditional red shalwar kameez, leaning fully into bridal territory. In several photos, the pair pose with garlands around their necks, smiling for the camera in what looks like a deliberately low-key celebration. The caption from Rikhi’s mother, a simple “God bless you” accompanied by folded hands and heart emojis, only added fuel to the speculation.

However, despite the visual evidence and the internet’s collective readiness to declare it official, there’s one crucial missing piece, confirmation. Neither Badshah nor Rikhi have publicly addressed the photos or acknowledged a marriage.

This, of course, leaves room for the kind of ambiguity that celebrity culture thrives on, part privacy, part soft launch, part accidental hard launch via a well-meaning parent.

The reported couple have been linked for nearly four years. According to various accounts, they met through mutual friends at a party and gradually built a relationship away from the public eye.

Badshah was previously married to Jasmine Masih, with whom he shares a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh. The two separated in 2020.

As for Rikhi, the Punjabi actor made her debut in 2013 with Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De alongside Sippy Gill and Om Puri. She later appeared in Bollywood’s Nawabzaade, featuring Varun Dhawan, Raghav Juyal and Punit Pathak.
