Netflix‘s sizzling euro-romcom Emily in Paris will be returning for a sixth season, the streaming service confirmed on Tuesday after the show’s last season was received well by audiences in December.

For those not in the know, the show follows Emily Cooper (Lilly Collins), an American marketing executive from Chicago as she moves to Paris for work. Initially struggling to settle in, she finds her footing in later episodes and adapts to her new life — culture shocks and all.

The last season, which released on Dec 18, saw Cooper‘s job take her to Rome, where drama followed her every step of the way — as it does everywhere else.

Her best friend briefly had a relationship with one of Cooper’s exes, her new Italian love interest seemed interested elsewhere at times and the season ended with her firm shutting down the Rome office she was initially sent to set up, bringing our protagonist right back to Paris.

In the last episode, Marcello, the aforementioned love interest asks Cooper to move to his family‘s village and help him run their cashmere business, she declines. The best friend, Mindy, she’s dumped her friend’s ex and gotten engaged to someone else.

Oh, and Gabriel, the hot French chef everyone‘s been shipping the main character with since season one, he’s invited her to see him, on a yacht, in Greece. We’ll find out if she accepts sometime later this year when the next season airs — Netflix has yet to announce a date.

Emily in Paris was one of Netflix’s more popular offerings this year, with the latest season amassing 26.8 million views globally in just 11 days, becoming the top TV series in 24 countries and appearing on the top 10 list in 91.

The season also made waves in the European political scene, with French President Emmanuel Macron insisting, “Emily in Paris in Rome doesn‘t make sense.” The show’s creator, Darren Star was recently made a knight of the Legion of Honour one of France’s highest civil honours — in recognition of his services to the country.
