Move over Gal Gadot, the internet wants Mehwish Hayat as its new Wonder Woman

It wasn’t enough for Mehwish Hayat to play Aisha in Ms. Marvel — fans want more. A lot more. DC may have scrapped Wonder Woman 3 but fans want a reprisal of the series starring Hayat in place of Gal Gadot.

Hayat’s Marvel debut gained her quite a few fans and people are now looking to her as their next Wonder Woman.

This fan thinks Hayat being potentially the next Wonder Woman “would be amazing”.

People are nominating her.

Some users have even started a campaign.

One was ready to switch sides by becoming “the most annoying person on planet about the DCU” and Hayat’s movies.

This user made a polite request.

Another made a demand.

It would be a huge win.

In Ms Marvel, Hayat played Aisha, who belonged to the Clandestines, djinns who had superpowers but were exiled from their home and sent to Earth. To go back she finds a bangle that unlocks her powers but hides it from rest of the Clandestines and loses her life while safeguarding the bangle. In the future, that bangle makes its way to the wrist of her great grand-daughter Kamala Khan, the star of the show, played by Iman Vellani.

In the show, Vellani plays 16-year-old Kamala, a Pakistani-American teen who lives in Jersey City. Kamala is an aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe. She is also a huge fan of the Avengers — and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world — that is until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.
