Syra Yousuf says she’s not the lead actor for reportedly shelved film Agar Magar

News about Syra Yousuf’s new film — that she’s not even in — being shelved has been making rounds on social media. Images reached out to the Sinf-e-Aahan actor’s team and they confirmed that she has got nothing to do with the movie.

“The current news being spread about Syra Yousuf being a part of the film Agar Magar is completely false news. The lead actor in that movie was or is Mariam Saleem Nawaz. Syra Yousuf has no part in this movie whatsoever,” Alizeh Jung, Yousuf’s manager, told Images.

News circulating online claimed that the Project Ghazi actor along with her former spouse Shahroz Sabzwari were leads in a film that was shelved due to the filmmaker’s personal issues. Yousuf distanced herself from the news and said that it is untrue.

However, the ex partners are going to star in an upcoming film together about winning back your ex. They started work on the movie before their divorce. Director Omar Essa didn’t want to give away the title of the film but confirmed that it’s a love story.

“We are not their khandan walay. We have a professional relationship and they believe in the project. They have worked hard towards it, especially Syra,” Essa told Images last year. “The role required a lot from her, physically and emotionally. Even if we had started production after their problems, I like to believe they would have still done the project.”

In March 2020, the couple announced that they were getting divorced after seven years of marriage. They cited irreconcilable differences and asked people to respect their choices and privacy. They have a daughter together named Nooreh.

Sabzwari has since married model Sadaf Kanwal. His quarantine wedding was announced in May. They have a daughter together too.
