Post Malone apologises to fans after falling and cracking 3 ribs mid-concert
American singer Post Malone had a terrible accident onstage during a concert in St. Louis, in the US state of Missouri, that left him with three cracked ribs but that was not enough to make him stop performing. Doing everything in his power to keep his fans satisfied, he continued his set, though shortened, and later apologised to fans.
On Saturday night, right when Malone started singing ‘Circles’, he turned and fell into a gap that his instrument had just been lowered into, according to an original report by St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was attended to by a team of medics who tended to his injuries for several minutes. The ‘Congratulations’ singer addressed concerned fans and asked for a few minutes, promising he’d be back.
According to Variety, about 15 minutes later, Malone slowly walked out, holding onto his ribs and apologised to fans. “St. Louis, I’m so f*cking sorry I ruined the show tonight, ladies and gentleman,” he said. “I promise next time I come around, I won’t f**king wreck y’all’s night, I’m sorry for that. That being said, f*ck… That being said, I want to thank you for your patience and I’m sorry,” he said.
“There was a big s hole in the middle of the stage that I busted my a on,” he continued. “I want to say thank you to everybody for hanging in there… I got the best f**king fans in the world.” The musician stayed and performed a slightly shortened set including ‘Rockstar’, ‘Sunflower’ and ‘White Iverson’ and ‘Cooped Up’, featuring opener Roddy Ricch.
The following morning, the ‘Better Now’ singer took to Twitter to thank his fans for bearing with him despite the mishaps. In a video captioned “love you guys so much” he said, “Thank you for the patience. Thank you for putting up with my dumbs. Everything’s good, they gave me some pain meds and everything. We can keep kicking a on the tour. I just want to apologise to everyone in St. Louis and want to say thank you for coming to the show. Next time I’m around this way we’re going to do a two-hour show for you, so we can make up for the couple missed songs.”
