Gohar Rasheed says Faisal Qureshi’s upcoming film Money Back Guarantee might be the best film he’s done script-wise
Filmmaker Faisal Qureshi’s upcoming film Money Back Guarantee (MBG) just released its first look in the form of a poster which revealed its star-studded cast. In a conversation with Images, one of the stars Gohar Rasheed said this might be the best movie he has ever done, in terms of the script and originality.
On Tuesday, the director shared the poster and wrote, “Unveiling the first look of the most awaited multi-starrer movie Money Back Guarantee — MBG. A film by Faisal Qureshi.” He mentioned that the teaser will release on Friday at 10am and the film will be out in worldwide theatres on April 21, 2023.
Besides Rasheed, the cast includes Fawad Khan, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Ayesha Omar, Javed Sheikh, Jan Rambo, Hina Dilpazir, Shayan Khan, Mani, Kiran Malik, Ali Safina, Marhoom Ahmad Bilal, Adnan Jaffer, Shafaat Ali and Aqdas Waseem.
The Ishqiya actor told Images that this is his third film with Fawad after Maula Jatt and Neelofar in which he has a guest appearance. “The entire cast is mentioned on the poster and I have never seen such a diverse ensemble cast in Pakistan up till now. There is Mikaal, Fawad, Wasim Akram, Shaniera Akram, Jan Rambo is also there, Maani too and Ali Safina as well. It is a great mix and knowing that Faisal Qureshi has written and directed it, it’s obvious that you can expect the best.”
Explaining that he can’t reveal much, he said, “One thing I can say is, the kind of casting he’s done, trust me, it wasn’t based on any person’s star value or follower count but who fits what role exactly. With big ensembles, sometimes you lose track and make choosing big names the priority — it is not like that [in this case]. If you read the names on the poster, you’ll notice good names but Faisal bhai chose them according to who he thought would fit the character and pull it off.
“This is his kamaal [excellence] and he has written this film, I can simply say that I have never done a film this good. Of all the films in my career, I think script-wise and original idea-wise this is a really great film and I had a lot of fun, the rest is up to God,” he concluded.
Omar could also not say much but she called it a “visionary film” that is exactly what people need right now. The script and screenplay are both original and MBG aims to bring “the masses to theatres again”. The Bulbulay actor said that the movie, with elements of action, suspense and comedy, has been made on a tremendous scale with gorgeous sets and international locations.
