Indian reality series The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives releases trailer for its second season

Promising to be “bigger and more evolved”, The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives is returning for a second season.

“Did someone say DRAMA?! We heard you! The fabulous four are back at it with twice the sass, and twice the glam!” Netflix India captioned the official trailer for the show, released on Friday. Re-sharing it, one of the producers for the reality TV series, Karan Johar, called it a “sneak peek into the glitz and grandeur of season two”.

The trailer shows the “four grown women” and the “chaos” that always ensues with their union. With “hot flushes”, “new crushes” and “more rushes of drama”, the clip flashes the star-studded cameos in the upcoming season. It brushes through topics such as menopause, pregnancy scares and, of course, catfights between the women. Tackling life beyond 40, it appears to be a juicy new season.

Directed by Uttam Domale, the show will be available for streaming on Netflix on September 2. The dynamic four in the lead include Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey’s wife Bhavna Pandey, Samir Soni’s wife Neelam Kothari and Sohail Khan’s ex-wife Seema Kiran Sajdeh.

According to ANI News, season two will also feature guest appearances by Bollywood actors Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Bobby Deol, Jackie Shroff, Gauri Khan, Sanjay, rapper BADSHAH and Johar himself.

Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharmatic Entertainment, spoke about the series’ popularity and said, “The success of season one of The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood spanned regions — this kind of unfiltered realness has not been done in a while and it’s what contributed to the show being loved.”

Mehta added, “We at Dharmatic Entertainment knew right away that if the show would come back, it would be bigger and more evolved, and that’s exactly what season two is.
