Wajahat Rauf asks fans not to upload illegal copies of Parde Mein Rehne Do on YouTube

Many films often make their way onto YouTube soon after they release in theatres or on streaming platforms and Parde Mein Rehne Do is no exception. Fans have been uploading copies of the movie on YouTube and filmmaker Wajahat Rauf has asked them to stop doing so, as it will elicit a copyright strike on their account.

On Sunday, the director took to Instagram to address the issue. He shared a video message captioned, “A request not to upload illegal copies of Parde Mein Rehne Do because then there will be a strike…”

“This is a very soft message for all those who upload Parde Mein Rehne Do on YouTube on a daily basis. When they do this, our registered agencies strike it and we get emails asking ‘Sir, why did you report this?’ It’s because times have changed and you can’t do that. It is against the good health of your channel and your own health as well,” he explained.

Rauf added that he is not only talking about his movie, he doesn’t want this done to others’ movies either. “Thank you for supporting our film, we appreciate it, but if you do upload, it will be get a strike and we feel bad as well,” he concluded.

According to the trailer, the drama-comedy tackles the issue of impotence and how a Pakistani couple deals with it. From family pressure to desi nuskhay [desi solutions] to the stress levels between the couple on the rise, the movie covers it all with a comedic element even in the more serious scenes.

Directed and produced by Rauf, Shazia Wajahat and Zayed Sheikh, the cast includes Hania Aamir, Ali Rehman Khan, Jawed Sheikh, Munazzah Arif, Hasan Raza, Sadia Faisal, Noor ul Hasan and Saife Hassan.
