Ali Tariq teases new song 'Raabte' with a poster featuring Alizeh Shah
Pakistani playback singer, songwriter and composer Ali Tariq is releasing a new song on July 12 called 'Raabte' and the music video features actor Alizeh Shah. He released a poster ahead of the song's release on his Instagram.
The eye-catching poster had various artists, including Rafay Israr and Azaan Sami Khan, showering him with praise on his Instagram, eagerly waiting for the release.
The poster itself features Shah and Tariq holding hands and staring into each other's eyes while they stand in a cut out in what seems to be a red wall.
Tariq has come a long way in his career in music. As a self-taught musician, he started off as a guitarist playing for different local bands. He received an encouraging response from listeners when he tried his hand at vocals and gained great popularity recording the original soundtrack of the Pakistani drama Aatish which crossed a million views on SoundCloud.
However, what brought the singer into limelight was his remake of Haroon Shahid’s 2002 hit single 'Mehbooba', which was released as a part of Nescafe Basement Season 5. It became an instant success, loved by fans all over the country, gaining millions of views on Youtube. Shahid called it an “intricate, polished and huge sounding production”.
Ever since then, Ali has recorded tracks for Pakistani films Wrong No 2 and Parey Hut Love. In addition to this, the romantic number 'Behka Na', co-sung by the Indian singer Harshdeep Kaur, was also praised for its “soulful” melody.
