If Shah Rukh Khan wants to be in Ms Marvel, we will go film again, says co-creator Sana Amanat

Marvel's Ms. Marvel will start streaming on June 8 on Disney+ but even though there's a week left for the release, the web-series' co-creator Sana Amanat said she would re-film the entire thing if Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan would like to be a part of it.

Directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi and creator Amanat have previously shared that the Bollywood star is a major part of the upcoming show. The show creators have also made it known that there are many references to and mentions of the Dilwale star in the show. Arbi, who helmed Bad Boys For Life with Fallah, also said that they want to remake Bad Boys 3 with Khan.

On Thursday, Amanat said in an interview with Times of India that, "If Shah Rukh Khan wants to be in this show, we will go film again! We'll go back to production, we're (definitely) going back to production! Call somebody! SRK actually is from the comics. We have some Shah Rukh Khan mentions in the comics because it was linked to Kamala's connectivity with Bollywood and we just love him."

"As a Pakistani kid in Jersey, I loved Bollywood actors growing up. So having that integrated into Kamala's world makes it more global and real. It's really awesome and we are very excited about it. Shah Rukh, if you want to work with us, we are down for it."

"We would want to make a Bad Boys 3 remake with Shah Rukh Khan," said Adil. Amanat added that "this will be the perfect pitch" and Fallah called the actor "one of the biggest stars in the world, a legend".

Ms. Marvel, which premieres on the platform on June 8, is the first Muslim superhero series from Marvel Studios. It stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan the Ms. Marvel, a Pakistani-American teenager growing up in Jersey City. Kamala is an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe with an oversized imagination especially if it's about Captain Marvel.

Pakistani audiences will see the series in the form of movies in local cinemas on the June 16, in a cine-compilation of episodes 1 and 2, followed by episodes 3 and 4 on June 30, and 5 and 6 on July 14.
