Faisal Kapadia to sing soundtrack for Shoaib Mansoor's upcoming feature film

Former Strings' frontman Faisal Kapadia will be singing the soundtrack for filmmaker Shoaib Mansoor's upcoming feature film.

The still untitled project stars Emmad Irfani and Maya Ali. No other details have been made available just yet.

But one thing we do know is that the song has been composed and written by Mansoor, so it's bound to be a hit. For the uninitiated, Mansoor was also the producer behind the iconic 'Dil Dil Pakistan' for Vital Signs in 1987 and we all know what a hit that was.

He is also the director behind Bol, Khuda Kay Liye, Verna, Alpha Bravo Charlie, Ankahi and Fifty-Fifty.

Kapadia, who made a joint announcement with Bilal Maqsood in March 2021 that they were ending their 33-year journey with Strings, has been focusing on his solo career lately. He collaborated with Young Stunners for 'Phir Milege' for Coke Studio's very successful season 14.

The musician looks forward to growing even more as a musician. He looks forward to change, even a "reinvention"of sorts but as long as it isn't forced just for the sake of it. “I want it to be organic," he told Images. "I just want to go with the flow, go wherever the winds take me. I do not want to force myself into doing something just because I think I should. The phase of my life where I am now, getting a hit song or getting popularity is not a priority anymore. The priority is to improve my 'musician-ship'. I want to try new things. I want to do new music experiments. I want to work with new people. Every project and every new thing I try will have a lot of learning, so that is the exciting element for me right now."
