Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor says he takes 'permission' from his wife before spending money

It's not very common for actors to open up about their married lives but for Bollywood's Shahid Kapoor, he's proud to talk about his marriage. In a recent interview, the actor said he now takes "permission" from his wife, Mira Kapoor, before spending money.

On April 24, the actor met YouTuber Curly Tales for an interview and said, “I would spend all out before but now I am a family man. Mere do bacche hai aur biwi hai. Unse permission leni padti hai. Sochna padta hai [I have two kids and a wife. I have to take their permission and think about it]." However, he clarified that he didn't take permission for his boys trip and that "it comes under his rights".

He also opened up about his wife's cooking skills and upon being asked who is the better cook, Shahid said that it's a "tough fight" between his wife and his father, Pankaj Kapur. “Dad is a really good cook. I think Mira kind of pips him. Although in some dishes, my dad will pip Mira. But it is a tough one,” he said.

The Jersey actor also said that if he asks his father, he would cook something up immediately, but if he asks Mira, he would have to constantly have to remind her for two months. The 41-year-old actor also shared that his wife cooks "very good" Thai and continental food. But he said that in seven years of his marriage he only got to eat two of each dish his wife excels at since she doesn't cook a lot.

Shahid got married to Mira in 2015 and the couple have a daughter and a son, Misha and Zain.

On the work front, Shahid is working for Ali Abbas Zafar's untitled actioner and will be seen in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. untitled web series in which he will be sharing the screen with Tamil cinema stars Vijay Sethupathi and Raashii Khanna.
