Sanjay Dutt has some marriage advice for Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
Bollywood is abuzz about the rumoured wedding festivities of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt that are reportedly set to begin this week. Actor Sanjay Dutt had some advice for Bhatt, his co-star from Sadak 2, and Kapoor, who played him in his biopic Sanju. While he expressed happiness at this union, he also advised the couple to "commit" to their relationship and said that Kapoor must "make" kids soon.
Speaking to Times of India, Dutt was asked about Bhatt and Kapoor's rumoured wedding during the promotion of his film K.G.F: Chapter 2. According to the publication, Dutt was unaware about the festivities but expressed happiness at their union.
"If he (Ranbir) is getting married, I am really happy for him. Alia was literally born and brought up in front of me. Marriage is a commitment they are making to each other. And they have to stick by that, hold each other’s hands and move ahead in happiness, peace and glory. Make kids soon Ranbir, and stay happy," he advised.
He also told the publication that marriage is a "matter of compromise" from both ends and that challenges will come and go but someone out of the two "will have to bend". He advised that Kapoor and Bhatt assess situations ahead but also remain on the same page as a couple. "With every curve in the road, they have to remember that the commitment they made to each other is very important and that is the key to keep moving ahead," the Kalank actor said.
According to the Indian media, Bhatt and Kapoor will tie the knot at his family home in Bandra, Mumbai. Some reports suggest that the couple will tie the knot on April 14 while others say their wedding festivities will begin on April 13 with a mehndi ceremony, a haldi ceremony merged with a sangeet and then the actual nuptials. The pair will reportedly tie the knot surrounded by close family members and friends and later hold an event for industry people to be a part of their festivities.
Their wedding may be the talk of the town but the couple and their families have been tightlipped about the reported festivities this week. It is yet to be confirmed if Bhatt and Kapoor are actually getting married.
What is confirmed, however, is that they're dating. They have been together since 2018. Bhatt had confessed that she had always liked him since the first day they worked together.
