'Another one': DJ Khaled to receive a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame
Palestinian-American rapper DJ Khaled is the latest celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Monday, April 4, the 'Popstar' rapper shared the news on Instagram via a video clip stating that the ceremony will take place on April 11. According to Variety, Khaled's star is to be placed on the 6200 block of Hollywood Boulevard. The location is also shared by rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers whose star was revealed last month.
The Dj is well known for his catchphrases such as 'we the best music' or 'anotha one' widely heard in all of his songs including 'Wild Thoughts' featuring Rihanna and 'Top Off' with Beyoncé. The music producer has worked with crème de la crème of the music industry, including Justin Bieber, Drake, Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, Chance the Rapper, J Balvin and Lil baby.
Khaled was also nominated for Album of the Year as a producer on H.E.R's Back of My Mind at the Grammys that took place on Monday. Two years ago, the 46-year-old won the award for Best Rap Performance for his song 'Higher' featuring rapper Nipsey Hussle — who passed away in 2019 — and John Legend.
Khaled is not the only star who has recently made it to the famous landmark. In October, No Time to Die star Daniel Craig received a star on the Walk of Fame. He was given the star numbered 7007 on Hollywood Boulevard, right next to Roger Moore, who played Bond in seven movies from 1973 to 1985.
