An unexpected crossover: 365 Days star Michele Morrone making Indian debut with Jacqueline Fernandez
Michele Morrone, the Italian star who shot to fame for his role in Polish film 365 Days, is making his Indian entertainment industry debut with Bollywood actor Jaqueline Fernandez in the music video for 'Mud Mud Ke' and we don't know what to think of this unexpected crossover. Will Fernandez be dancing her way into Morrone's heart or is he going to bust out some moves as well?
The music video is from Desi Music Factory and the song itself has been sung by Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar. Mihir Gulati has directed the video and it is being choreographed by Shakti Mohan.
Fernandez and Morrone both announced the news on Instagram with a poster of their music video. "Breaking The Hot News!! First look of my upcoming Music Video with the international sensation Michele Morrone. Welcome to the Indian music scene, It’s gettin’ hot in Here," wrote the Kick actor.
In an exclusive interview with Variety, Morrone said that he is "excited about foraying into the music space in India. It is heartwarming to be welcomed with so much love. I love challenges and ‘Mud Mud Ke’ posed a challenge that excited me. I’m honoured to be collaborating with Desi Music Factory. I thank the people of this country for waiting for my Indian debut.”
The 36-year-old actor also told the publication that it is an "exciting" time for Indian music. "I’m thrilled about Michele’s Indian debut and I’m sure he will be embraced by the audience. It reminds me of how welcoming India has been to me. I’m certain Michele’s entry in India will be no different. I thank the viewers and listeners for showing us so much love and we hope to bring you all a memorable song.”
The announcement made by the actors reveals that the teaser for their video will drop on Feb 8 and the complete video will release four days after that on Feb 12.
On the work front, Morrone's film 365 Days has been given the green light for two sequels, one of which is slated for a summer 2022 release. Fernandez will be seen alongside John Abraham in film Attack, which releases in April this year.
