Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli don't want you to share pictures of their daughter

Indian actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli have kept their daughter, Vamika away from camera and told paparazzi multiple times not to take photos of her. On Sunday, photos of their daughter went viral after she was caught on a live broadcast of the third ODI between India and South Africa.

Within few minutes of the clip airing on TV, Vamika's photos from the match went viral on social media. Sharma and Kohli issued statements through their Instagram Stories on Monday, Jan 24, in which they said they had no idea that their daughter's images "were captured at the stadium and widely shared thereafter".

"We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn't know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika's images are not clicked/published for reasons we have explained earlier," wrote both Kohli and Sharma.

This is the first time that their daughter's face was revealed publicly. In the shared images, Sharma carried her and cheered on her husband who recently resigned from India's Test captaincy. The live broadcast captured both the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor and Vamika during Kohli's half-century celebration.

The couple welcomed their daughter on January 11, 2011 and has never posted a complete photo of the toddler. Most of their pictures feature her back. Despite the glee people may be feeling at finally having seen the toddler's face, they should respect her parents' wishes and delete the photos.
