'We asked for magic': American rapper Machine Gun Kelly and actor Megan Fox are engaged

2022 seems to be the year of love with a number of celebrities hopping on the marriage bandwagon. The latest couple to make it official are American Rapper Machine Gun Kelly and actor Megan Fox.

Kelly popped the question on Jan 11. Fox took the news to Instagram and shared a clip of the dreamy proposal.

Along with the video, Fox shared a few words about the location and what it means to both of them. "In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma," she wrote.

Fox said that a year and a half later, having walked through hell together and having laughed more than she ever imagined possible, Kelly asked her to marry him. "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes," wrote the Transformers actor.

Kelly on the other hand shared the video of the rock or rocks he put on her finger.

"I know tradition is one ring, but i designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love," wrote the 'Rap Devil' singer.

The 35-year-old actor's engagement comes less than two years after her split with ex-husband Brian Austin Green whom she shares three kids with.

Kelly's friend Travis Barker popped the question to his girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian in October. Could there be a combined wedding in the near future? We doubt it but it's fun to imagine.
