Get ready for a whole lot of Zendaya — Euphoria season two is releasing this Sunday
2019's Euphoria had us in a euphoric state, hooked to its signature neon lighting and eccentric fashion trends — not to mention Zendaya playing the lead. There's something about the actor that invites unanimous approval and the good news is she's coming back to our screens as Rue in the second season of the show that's releasing this Sunday.
HBO announced that season two of Euphoria is going to be released on January 9 at 9pm ET/PT on HBO Max. They dropped a trailer to reignite interest and remind fans what they've been missing.
Euphoria is a binge-worthy high school drama that follows a group of students as they struggle with drugs, love, social media and money as they come of age while trying to establish their identity. The cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Eric Dane, Algee Smith, Angus Cloud and musician Dominic Fike.
During the pandemic, HBO premiered two special episodes focusing on Rue and Jules, played by Schafer. Just like the first season, Euphoria season 2 will consist of eight episodes.
HBO posted scenes from the first and last episode as a mini-recap to jog up our memories titled, "in case you forgot where they left off."
So get your bingeing PJs and your snacks ready for a whole lot of Zendaya!
