Twitter users can't get over a scene from Sana Javed and Feroze Khan's new drama Aye Musht-E-Khaak
Watching scenes from Pakistani dramas without context is often a recipe for disaster but there's nothing netizens love doing more than watching a single scene and then making memes. Their latest source of entertainment is Geo Entertainment's Aye Musht-e-Khaak starring Sana Javed and Feroze Khan.
The drama airs every Monday and Tuesday and has eight episodes out so far. In the latest episode, Mustejab (Khan) talks to his wife Dua (Javed) about going on their honeymoon and netizens have been sharing a video clip of the rather strange and awkward conversation in which she repeatedly tries to get out of it.
One person shared the video and started a conversation about the kind of content shown on TV.
Some people argued that this was far more awkward than any physical affection shown on screen could ever be and jokingly called out Pemra for letting the scene air.
Some users found it funny and said they may just watch the show for comedic value.
Others were confused why Khan's character was acting the way he was.
Some users were disappointed in the channel for highlighting dramas like Aye Musht-e-Khaak while ignoring other, far more thought provoking serials.
Others were stunned that this was the same drama industry that writers such as Haseena Moin helped build.
One user was disappointed with the show's director Aehsun Talish for Aye Musht-e-Khaak and Khan for repeatedly taking on similar roles.
A user said Aswad from Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay could take notes from Mustejab on being stupid.
While we understand that you can't judge an entire drama based on a single scene, people want more out of dramas in terms of storyline and dialogue than this. No one is asking for Nobel Prize worthy literature from these dramas, but it would be nice to be able to make sense of them and not cringe while watching.
