'Both tiger and snake are alive,' says Salman Khan after getting bitten by a non-venomous snake

Bollywood actor Salman Khan was bitten by a non-venomous snake at his farmhouse in Maharashtra on December 25 but he's okay.

He later spoke to the media and said, “Tiger bhi zinda hai, saanp bhi zinda hai (both Tiger and the snake are alive)”. He was referencing his 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai.

On Monday, the star spoke to the media and said a snake had entered his farmhouse and he tried to rescue it but was bitten instead. Luckily, it was non-venomous and so the actor was fine after seeking medical attention. The Radhe actor also said that children at the residence were scared when the snake entered so he jumped in to help them and rescue the snake at the same time.

"A snake had entered my farmhouse, I took it outside using a stick. Gradually it reached onto my hand. I then grabbed it to release it, which is when it bit me thrice. It was a kind of poisonous snake. I was hospitalised for six hours...I am fine now," he told news agency ANI.

Khan returned to the farmhouse after receiving treatment in order to celebrate his birthday as usual accompanied by friends and family.

Khan has many projects under the pipeline, including a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the third instalment for Tiger Zinda Hai and Pathan.
