Singer Machine Gun Kelly launches gender neutral nail polish range

Singer Machine Gun Kelly knows a lot about fashion and we can’t deny he has his way with dramatic entrances as well as costumes. What we didn’t expect from him was a beauty line called UN/DN LAQR — a gender-neutral brand for people who love nail art.

Kelly has made multiple red carpet appearances with a fun manicure on display and has been an inspiration for many ever since. The ‘Bad Things’ singer even has a separate Instagram page dedicated to his nail art.

The newly launched brand had already been worn by Kelly himself as well as Olivia Rodrigo at the American Music Awards last week and now, after public demand, has been revealed to his followers.

UN/DN LAQR has 10 unique shades beginning with a bright pink named Party Favour and the darkest named Depressionist.

The range also includes five top coats with various finishes such as high gloss, matte and nail-art coats. All the shades will retail for $18 each with eight trio kits for $52 each and the polish kit with six nail paints for $86.

Kelly is not the only celebrity who has launched a brand dedicated to nail polish. Former One Direction member Harry Styles also seems to be a fan of brightly painted nails and launched his brand last month, called Pleasing. Styles’ kit has four nail paints for $65 with each retailing for $20. He not only focused on nails but also has a few skincare items such as an illuminating serum and a two-sided pen for eyes and lips.

Styles and Kelly’s brands could lead the way for brands to opt for a more inclusive approach to their products and marketing. Everyone should be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of a freshly painted set of nails! Brands like UN/DN and Pleasing are a sign that anything is possible and people should be able to wear whatever they want.
