'A daughter is the best gift the world has to give': Ghana Ali gives birth to a baby girl

Ghana Ali is now a mother! The Rangreza actor announced the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday night and said she and her husband Umair Gulzar have named their daughter Faija Umair.

"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born," she captioned her post. "This is so overwhelming for both of us! A daughter is one of the best gift this world has to give! Please remember us in your prayers," she implored her fans. She also shared a sweet photo from the hospital of her family.

The actor announced her pregnancy back in September and had asked her followers for prayers. She also took the time to praise her husband and said he was the best thing that had ever happened to her.

Congratulatory messages have started to pour in on social media with fellow celebrities and fans taking the time to wish the new mom.

Ali has joined a host of new celebrity parents who have recently discovered the joys of children. Sarah Khan and Falak Shabir welcomed their baby girl in October and Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz announced the birth of their son in July.
