The teaser for the 'women of steel'-led Sinf e Aahan is out and it looks intense

Buckle up because the teaser for Sinf e Aahan is finally out and the show looks intense.

The ISPR, Six Sigma Plus and Next Level Entertainment production stars some Pakistani drama powerhouses — Sajal Aly, Syra Yousuf, Yumna Zaidi, Kubra Khan, Ramsha Khan and Yehali Tashiya Kalidasa — and will be airing on ARY Digital.

The drama has been written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Nadeem Baig. Humayun Saeed, Samina Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib and Sana Shahnawaz are the producers.

The teaser features the line "she doesn't need a hero, she was born to be one." Sinf e Aahan is about a group of women who join the military. In the teaser, they were called women of steel. Actor Usman Mukhtar also has a part in the show and had earlier said he was very happy that female centric narratives were being given space in the industry.

Yousuf had earlier described the show as being incredibly "well-written, with even the side characters and guest appearances integrated so well into the narrative".

"It’s very inspirational, telling the story of five girls from completely different backgrounds that join the army," she said. "I feel it’s time writers and content creators consciously work on the lessons that are to be learnt from the kind of stories that are generally put out, rather than normalise toxic behaviours, relationships and family dynamics.”

The teaser has got us excited because it looks a far cry from the usual romance dramas we're presented with. This drama promises strong women characters and we can't wait to watch it.
