Mahira Khan celebrates 10 years of Humsafar with a surprise Q&A on Twitter

It has been 10 years since Mahira Khan graced our TV screens as Khirad in the drama Humsafar and she recently took to social media to celebrate the milestone.

The 2011 drama put Khan on the map after her debut in Shoaib Mansoor's Bol. It clearly holds a special place in the actor's heart; she celebrated its 10-year anniversary by giving her fans on Twitter a special surprise.

"10 years of Humsafar. I have nothing but gratitude and love for all of you, and only myself to offer. Let's do #askmahira? Tell me when and let’s do it!" she tweeted.

Khan told her fans to fire away and soon all kinds of questions came pouring in.

"If there’s one scene you wish you could perform differently, which one would it be?" a fan asked Khan. "I think maybe the last scene in the house. I would have done it better," the actor replied.

"How are you actually doing?" a user asked. "Awww I’m okay. [I am the] 'can’t complain' type. You know?" she answered.

There were some fans who need a little pick-me-up and Khan came to their rescue. "What to do if the heart gets tired of life?" a user asked. "Pray, believe, so that’s it filled with faith again. A heart that has faith doesn’t get tired of life," Khan replied.

"Anything uplifting to say to someone who is feeling kind of low and doubtful about everything?" asked one user."My jaan whatever it is, it shall pass. It always does. I promise. Have faith. The sun shall rise and this feeling of doubt will go away," came Khan's reply.

No fan Q&A is complete without questions that would make the celebrity think twice before answering of course. In one case, the fate of a student's academic future lay in Khan's hands. "It's my exam tomorrow so should I go attend my exam or just take a leave?" asked one young fan. "Note: I haven't prepared anything."

"Go for the exam!" Khan firmly replied.

Another fan with an impending exam in the morning was sacrificing quality sleep time to ask a burning question. "Who is that one person you were pleasantly surprised to find had seen Humsafar?" he posted. "Oh this is a good one!" began the actor's answer. Check DM. [i'm] kidding. Can’t tell." Khan was clearly worried about this fan's academics as well. "Go to sleep, best of luck for your exams my love," she told him.

Many of questions helped us learn new things about the Humsafar actor. "Your favourite international burger chain?" a tweet asked.

"In and Out," came Khan's prompt reply.

"What's the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?" a fan asked. "Depends. If I wake up not feeling anxious I say my gratitude to God. Or then I kiss and cuddle [my son] Azzu!" she replied.

"How do you see yourself since your 20s, which was the start of your career, to now? How much do you think you've changed, not what's changed around you?" a question read.

"I kept thinking and thinking. I really haven’t changed too much. And I don’t think that’s a good thing. Maybe a little wiser?" Khan replied.

Khan ended the Q&A but not without sending some love to her fans as a thank you for the questions sent in.
