Imran Abbas' unchecked marriage spree continues as he 'marries' yet another costar

Just last week we broke to you the tabloid-created news of Imran Abbas' marriage to Ushna Shah, but little did we — or Abbas for that matter — know that we would begin this week with the 'happy' news that he has once again married, this time to already married Udaari star Urwa Hocane.

The news broke on Friday and even after Abbas addressed the situation, it was repeated all the way till Sunday.

Where did the rumour come from? Posts made by Hocane and Abbas to their social media channels. The two stars are currently shooting for a new drama for ARY, Amanat, directed by Shahid Shafaat and written by novelist Rukhsana Nigar.

In the social media posts, the two are seen singing together on a staircase. A moment's refresher after a day's shoot — sweet.

"Entertaining ourselves yet again at a late night shoot," read Hocane's caption.

"A little wait more to see this offscreen chemistry converting into a yearning onscreen love story....Amanat," Abbas wrote, teasing fans awaiting the drama.

This was apparently enough to kickstart the rumour mill. Half the work was already done for them as Hocane and Abbas were dressed in glamorous wedding attire, with the jewellery and makeup to go with it. The poorly skilled photoshopper wasn't even needed this time.

As the news did the rounds on social media, Abbas saw it and decided he had to address it — again. How many times will one man be asked to address fake marriage rumours?

"After Alizeh Shah, Saboor, Ushna, now it's Urwa. My fourth marriage since January 2021," he jokingly noted in his Facebook post. "In bloggers ko koi aur kaam nahi hai kya? (Yaa ye samajhtay hain ke mujhe koi aur kaam nahi hai)? [Do these bloggers have nothing else to do? Or do they think I have nothing else to do?]."

Abbas called on his fans to boycott YouTube channels and social media pages spreading these rumours to "give them a taste of their own medicine," and punish them for propagating such lies and creating rumours that bring shame to those they name.

"Can we take action against these bloggers/click baiters? It is really shameful to associate any female’s name with her co-actor/friend or vice versa," he said.

Actor Syed Jibran and screenwriter Saji Gul also got in on the fun. Jibran reminded Abbas of how he had reached his limit of four wives, only for him to hit back saying these are only the ones from this year. Gul declared himself Abbas' halala manager.

We haven't heard from Hocane since this rumour broke out but that's understandable, given she has already made her position clear on such matters.

"Kuch bhi ho jaye, kuch nahi hota [Whatever happens, nothing really happens]," she said. Urwa Hocane 2k21. Hopefully this serves as a reminder for eager fans to stop believing everything they read, especially when they're reading (or watching) it on very dubious sources.

Abbas announced his drama Amanat with Hocane late last year on social media, and had fans excited.

Hocane also teased fans with an announcement.

Who do you think Abbas is going to marry next?
