Bilal Maqsood dedicates heartfelt rendition of 'Aakhri Alvida' to Palestinians
From drawing portraits of a couple using his jaw-dropping ambidextrous skills to uploading music covers in an effort to revive classics, Bilal Maqsood's social media content has always been relevant and entertaining for fans who can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
Recently, he decided to pay tribute to Palestinians who are being attacked and oppressed by Israeli forces.
In a video on Instagram, the Mera Bichra Yaar singer played an acoustic version of one his most popular tracks — 'Aakhri Alvida' — making us fall in love all over again. His voice, the familiar melody and Anwar Maqsood's beautiful lyrics gave us goosebumps.
"A tribute to all Palestinians living in the fear of each day spent with their loved ones being the last. Keeping you in our prayers!" he posted coupled with the hashtag 'Free Palestine'.
Released in 2007 for the film Shootout at Lokhandwala starring Vivek Oberoi, Sanjay Dutt and Dia Mirza, the song was released under T-series but its lyrics relate perfectly to the violence in Palestine today.
Hundreds of Palestinians have lost their lives and countless others wounded in attacks by Israeli forces on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, air strikes and ceaseless violence.
Millions of people have been raising their voices for the people of Palestine and have called on Israel to put an end to the violence.
