Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Bajairo Mastani star Deepika Padukone are set to begin shooting for director Nag Ashwin’s still untitled film soon. A source close to the film told Pinkvilla that the film will begin production by July.

Padukone is currently wrapping the shoot for her film Pathan and has reportedly given this project 75 days. Meanwhile, Prabhas is set to finish shooting for his upcoming movies Salaar and Adipurush soon.

The film is expected to be released in 2022 but due to its extensive visual effects editing, the release could be delayed till 2023, a source told PinkVilla. The VFX will be done by international teams who have previously worked on Avengers: Endgame.

“I feel lucky and blessed that Bachchan sir has selected our film among the many choices he has. It is a full-length role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is,” director Ashwin said during a media interaction.

Padukone and Bachchan have previously worked together in Piku but this is a first collaboration between Prabhas and Bachchan.
