Take a sneak peek at the dragons in Game of Thrones' upcoming prequel

We're finally getting something to fill the void Game of Thrones left in our lives (lets not talk about that final season though).

The official account of the HBO show has revealed the first look of the mythical dragons from the upcoming prequel called House of the Dragon.

"Dragons are coming," the tweet reads, alongside two photos of a red dragon. "HouseoftheDragon begins production in 2021."

GoT based on the famous books by George R.R. Martin concluded after an eight season run in May 2019.

So far, we know that House of the Dragon will be based on Martin's book Fire & Blood and will follow members of House Targaryen and their fearsome dragons over 10 episodes. Another prequel series planned by HBO starring Naomi Watts was scrapped earlier this year.

The show is slated to premiere sometime in 2022.
