New app released for welfare of artists

Preparations have been completed to introduce a mobile app for the online registration of artistes.

The app titled 'Pakistan Key Fankaar' is being created exclusively for the welfare of artistes across Pakistan.

The Information and Culture Department along with the Lahore Arts Council is taking steps for the welfare of culture, art and artistes who are facing difficult circumstances owing to Covid. The department has taken this step to collect data of artists. This app will be activated soon for the registration of all artistes belonging to Pakistan.

LAC Executive Director Saman Rai said the initiative would help collect data of artistes. She said the artistes would be able to use this app that has been created in collaboration with Punjab Information Technology Board.
