Saba Qamar gets real about depression on her YouTube channel

Sometimes sensitive and other times satire, Saba Qamar's YouTube channel is making way for important conversations that are much needed in our society.

Addressing depression in a monologue, Qamar asks her audience, "How many more lives will we take? Anum Tanoli, Rushaan Farrukh, Quratulain Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, and who knows how many more like them whose hearts were so sensitive?"

"When will we regard human beings as human beings? Why do we discuss someone's appearance? And when we can't find faults in appearances, we start targeting their personalities. Why do we consider others beneath us? Why do we look at them like they are lesser beings? Sometimes their status, sometimes their voice, and sometimes make jokes on their existence?"

"Have you ever thought how one phrase, one sentence, one troll can ruin someone's entire life? Why do we interfere in their private lives? Think of others as our properties? And say whatever bitterness is in our hearts without thinking twice?"

She goes on to address label culture, reiterating the toxic and lasting after-effects name-calling leaves on individual lives. She calls out the hypocrisy, making sure the audience gets six minutes of wholesome self-reflection.
