Iman Aly reveals Raees was offered to her first

There is no denying the fact that Iman Aly's stardom and versatility knows no bounds.

Neither does her candidness, as the supermodel's unfiltered comments in a recent interview with Iffat Omar revealed.

"90% of the movies made in Pakistan today are still offered to me first," she stated.

"But I only take the scripts I fall in love with. If I don't like the lines, it feels like work, like slavery."

When questioned about whether a certain Bollywood project was offered to her first, the actress laughed at the memory.

"The person who called me informed me that the role was with Shahrukh Khan [in Raees] so I asked them to send me the script. I don't think they liked that!" she said.

As we all know, Mahira Khan ended up bagging Raees.

Iman continued how her friends called her crazy for doing such a thing.

"But it's my right" she protested. "I've noticed even here if you ask for the script, people start getting offended which is not right and shouldn't happen."

The model stood steadfast on her belief that the fame she deserved would come to her regardless of whether she worked in India or not.

The show then progressed to a "what-if" fun segment where the host questioned alternative career choices for people in the industry and Aly did not hold back.

Humayun Saeed would be a "doodh dahi bechnay wala" (dairy product salesman) she said, and went on to categorise Fawad Khan as a "failed standup comedian" and Mehwish Hayat as a "cosmetologist's assistant."

"I think Mahira should have stayed a VJ," she then proposed. "She was really good at that. I really liked her at that."

She also shared that she's been receiving a lot of backlash due to her current medical condition.

"People say, look at how she's speaking, she seems drugged. I mean yaar, why does it matter to you?" she asked. "People who make such comments will die a dog's death" she said, dismissing her haters.

The actress went on to open up about her father's demise and the trauma that stayed with her after.
