A Sherdil sequel is in the works
Mikaal Zulfiqaar's tribute to the Pakistan Air Force is getting a sequel, but he might not be in it.
Film Sherdil, which was released this year on March 23 - and then made its way back to screens on August 14 - has a second part on its way, confirms producer and writer Noman Khan.
According to Khan, "Sherdil came to an end at a point that everybody asked me this question and by this time now I have started thinking that I should write something as Sherdil 2... but certainly the sequel is going to be totally different as compared to Sherdil and we would just have some of these characters in the beginning because they worked wonderfully well in the movie."
"[However] Sherdil 2 will have a new cast coming in to keep the audience on their toes and watch that thing from the edge of their seats and enjoy it. So that’s going to be a little different."
But Khan also let us know to hold our excitement as there is time to the film's release, around "one or two years."
"[We're] taking the first step," said the writer, asking us all to be patient. "We can make a product to the level of the Pakistani community and at the same time a global story."
