Writer Farhat Ishtiaq says Yeh Dil Mera 'won't romanticise harassment'

But are we tired of dramas romanticising workplace harassment? Yes!

One of the teasers for the duo's upcoming drama, Yeh Dil Mera ignited a debate on social media about whether the show was normalising unwanted advances from your boss.

However, the writer of the serial, Farhat Ishtiaq (Humsafar, Udaari, Yakeen Ka Safar) has responded to the criticism hinting that there's more to the story:

Responding to a tweet that implied that audiences were jumping to conclusions, Ishtiaq wrote: "Thanks for your confidence. InshaAllah will never romanticize rape, sexual harassment, misogyny."

Guess we'll just have to wait for the drama to air and see what's really going on.
