Hamza Ali Abbasi is a big shot director in the Alif teaser

Fans have been eagerly waiting on more deets for upcoming drama Alif and we got not one but two teasers for it!

Sajal Aly shared a teaser from her upcoming GeoTV drama with co-stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahsan Khan, Kubra Khan and Osman Khalid Butt.

The drama is written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Haseeb Hasan of Mann Mayal and Parwaaz Hai Junoon fame.

Sajal Aly plays the role of Momina Sultan, a young, up-and-coming actress starting out in the industry, while Hamza Ali Abbasi portrays Qalb E Momin, a wildly successful film director. Manzar Sehbai also gets prominent screentime in the teaser as he makes a guest appearance in the TV serial.

Ahsan Khan plays the role of Taha Abdul Ala. He had revealed last year to Images his character in Alif is inspired by Rumi.

The second teaser gives us more insight about the plot.

We see that Sajal is a woman who will nt change her ways for films while Hamza is a filmmaker too extreme in his ways when it comes to the glitz 'n glam of showbiz. Knowing Hamza Ali Abbasi's own personal transforation we're amused, and also already expecting such a change to happen in the drama. Oh well.

The drama will air in September on Geo TV.
