Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is the highest paid actor of 2019 according to Forbes

In a list released by Forbes, we find out who the highest-paid actors around the world are.

Much to our surprise, some of the biggest stars such as Leonardo Di Caprio and Shah Rukh Khan didn't make it to the list but the likes of Dwayne Johnson and Akshay Kumar did.

"Dwayne Johnson, also known as the Rock, tops the Forbes list of the world’s ten highest-paid actors, collecting $89.4 million between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019," reported Forbes.

That includes his salary and a share of profits from films, $700,000 per episode of HBO series Ballers, and seven figures in royalties from his line of clothing, shoes, and headphones with Under Armour.

Johnson was just behind George Clooney last year who topped the list due to the sales from his tequila company.

Chris Hemsworth, who played Thor in Avengers: Endgame took in $76.4 million, while Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. earned $66 million, Forbes said.

Other Endgame stars - Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans and Paul Rudd - also landed in the top 10.

Most of Cooper’s earnings, however, came from A Star is Born, the musical drama he directed, produced, co-wrote and starred in with Lady Gaga. Cooper collected $40 million of his $57 million total from that film, Forbes said.
