George R.R. Martin reveals 3 Game of Thrones spin-off series are in the works

With Just two episodes left to the final season of Game of Thrones, fans have some serious bitter sweet emotions as they prepare themselves to say goodbye to the hit series.

While they might be saying bye to the Starks, Targaryens and Lannisters they love, they don't have to worry about giving up their dose of Westeros as for a long time there has been talk of a Game of Thrones prequel. Even news that it will start shooting this summer and Naomi Watts is starring.

But looks like there's more as GoT writer George R.R. Martin revealed that not only is there a possibility of five spin-off series but 3 of them are well underway. He also wants you to know not to trust the internet for any information regarding the shows as, "Internet reports are notoriously unreliable."

In a recent blog post, the author writes, "We have had five different GAME OF THRONES successor shows in development (I mislike the term “spinoffs”) at HBO, and three of them are still moving forward nicely."

He adds, "The one I am not supposed to call THE LONG NIGHT will be shooting later this year, and two other shows remain in the script stage, but are edging closer. What are they about? I cannot say. But maybe some of you should pick up a copy of FIRE & BLOOD and come up with your own theories."

The author also mentioned watching Avengers: Endgame and loving it. While we're glad he didn't give any spoilers while talking about the superhero epic we're all just excited about the GoT universe that is gearing up for all of us to see.
