Game of Thrones actor Daniel Portman said fans keep groping him and that's not okay

Daniel Portman, the actor who plays the lovable squire Podrick Payne on Game of Thrones, revealed that he's been groped by fans on several occasions.

In an interview with Esquire, he shared that fans can't seem to separate his character's ahem reputation in bed on the show from real life, which has led them to cross the line.

“I’ve been grabbed by so many… like the amount of like older, older women who are very...” Portman revealed, making a grabbing motion with his hand. “What can you do? You know? Obviously tell them not to do it. It hasn't happened for a while. In this day and age you’d think that people would be able to separate reality from fiction. I don't want to say it comes with the territory, but, you know, people are crazy about it. It's certainly not cool.”

Still, Portman insists it's been great playing such a beloved and well, well-endowed character. “It’s really not a bad thing,” he added.

If you’re not familiar with the show, Daniel’s character once slept with three prostitutes who wouldn’t let him pay because he was that good in bed. Needless to say, Portman isn't Podrick and even if he was, touching another person without their permission is just not okay. People of all genders deserve agency over their bodies.

Moral of the story? Stop grabbing Daniel, or anyone for that matter without their consent.
