I believe the dulha dulhan should have fun at their wedding: Iman Ali dishes on her upcoming 'shendi'

Iman Ali has been laying low but looks like 2019 is off to a happening start for her.

Not only is she getting hitched next month but she's also making a return to the big screen with the Farhan Saeed-starring and Urwa Hocane-produced Tich Button!

In a recent conversation with Images, she confirmed that she'll star as the female lead in the film, while another female actor is yet to be confirmed.

Talking about how she signed up for the film, she said, "I never approach anyone for work. People approach me. And I barely accept any offers. But [director Qasim Mureed] is my friend and he really pushed me into doing the film. Even though I told him I'll be busy, I wont have time, I'm getting married at the same time as the film's shoot..."

Iman revealed that she's squeezing her wedding between the shoots "I know it sounds crazy," she said.

The Mahe-e-Mir star is marrying Babar Bhatti, who is the grandson of Pakistani war hero Major Aziz Bhatti.

Iman dished about her wedding being a single-event affair with lots of guests: "We're having a shendi on February 21. It'll be at his house, so at the end of it I'll just tell my parents 'bye' [laughs]. It won't be a small event, we have to invite everybody."

And the shendi will be plenty eventful, with Iman's friends in competition with Babar's: "It'll be an old-school larkay walay-vs-larki walay mehndi. I don't like the modern trend of combined mehndis. I want the muqabla," she said, adding that she won't be sharing many videos of her dholki to avoid revealing their moves.

She's not that old-school, though. Iman will also be dancing on multiple songs. "I believe the dulha dulhan should also have fun at their mehendi!" Can't wait to see her moves on February 21!
