Kayseria's creative director, Waleed Zaman said he supports sexual harassment of women

Last night, protesters showed up at the Teefa in Trouble premiere in Lahore calling for a boycott of the movie on account of the Ali Zafar-Meesha Shafi sexual harassment case.

Waleed Zaman, the creative director of Kayseria on the other hand, was there to attend the premiere and watch the movie...and run his mouth it seems.

A video started circulating on social media from the live stream of the Girls at Dhabas page; while Waleed was walking into the cinema with his wife, the protesters were firing questions at them regarding their views on the matter.

Zaman's reply? “Because we support the sexual harassment of women”. This coming from a man whose bread and butter depends solely on women (he is also the son of Bareeze's owner).

Uh uh, this is unacceptable.

Of course after much uproar on social media, an apology followed soon after.

However, we have to say, it doesn't sound very genuine; the entire incident was recorded on camera and at no point do we see the protesters "threatening, harassing or provoking" his wife.

And speaking of that two sides to every story hashtag, a friend of the couple can testify to that, considering that she was also one of the protesters.

It would've been a more dignified move had he just apologised and owned up to his mistake rather than giving baseless justifications.

Update: Waleed Zaman issued another apology after people called him out for justifying his act and giving a half-hearted apology.

Sadly, people were easily swooned by his statement and branded him a 'hero'.
