Federal government shortens ban on Indian films on Eid
The ban on the screening of Bollywood imports in Pakistan during the Eid season is reported to have been revised from a two-week duration to one week.
The initial notice, issued by the Central Board of Film Censors, stipulated that the ban will run from two days before Eid to two weeks after the holiday.
However, a new notice issued by the Information and Broadcasting Division of the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage says that the ban will be a week-long, starting from Eid day on both Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha.
