Deepika's response to wedding rumours has us more confused than ever
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been rumoured to be getting married by the end of this year.
Not only that but several more rumours popped up about their wedding preps. Deepika may be shopping for her wedding wear, Ranveer has a destination in mind, and much more. But we can't trust any of this until we hear it from the couple themselves.
Both Deepika and Ranveer have broken their silence over the wedding rumours, but neither confirmed it. In fact, Deepika's response to the rumours on Times Now had us wondering if she even wants to be with Ranveer.
"For me he's a friend, a confidant... we talk a lot. Sometimes we agree and sometimes we disagree and I think that's what makes our friendship so beautiful," Said Deepika.
So are they just friends? Not really? Recently, the star had referred to Ranveer as her boyfriend. According to Deepika, "It is what it is and I wouldn't challenge it."
So are they getting married or not? Deepika shied away from the question, saying, "It's definitely something I want for myself (marriage) but when it happens or how it happens, it's all just instinct."
Deepika even steered away from answering whether she knew with whom she'll get married. Why are you doing this to us Deepika?
Good thing is we have some clarification from Ranveer. According to Filmfare, Ranveer responded to the rumours, saying "It is the function of speculation – to exist. Nothing is official till it is made official and I am not a seer. I cannot say this will happen on this date in the future. Right now we are both extremely busy working. Besides, she is also recuperating from back problems. So we are quite occupied and distracted. So, if there is any announcement in the future, you will be hearing me shouting from the rooftops. When it is time, I think I will know it. But as an institution, I think it is extremely important because that’s the way I have been raised. It is extremely important for me to see myself like that. It is every girl’s dream. I have always followed my instincts and I think I will feel it when I am ready or when it has to happen."
So no, the two aren't officially tying the knot. Could've just said that, Deepika!
