Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Rock is on a roll! Geddit geddit?

Actor Dwayne Johnson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday,

The wrestler-turned-actor attended the ceremony with his long time girlfriend, Lauren Hashian and daughter, Jasmine Lia and took the opportunity to pay tribute to his family and team.

Reuters reports that Johnson, still affectionately known as The Rock by his followers from the WWE days, recognised everyone who helped him during his career. Those who were... his rock... #SorryNotSorry.

“You don’t have success alone. You don’t do it alone,” he said. “It takes a team so I‘m so grateful right now to recognize a few people in my life and it is just a few and they are here who without them there would be no me.”

“I’m going to show you what it all means,” he continued as he picked up 2 year old Jasmine Lia in his arms, saying, “The hard work, the work you put in with your own two hands… it all comes down to this. It all comes down to your family, and working hard to love and protect and do everything you can to make your family and the ones you love, their lives better.”

Jasmine then told her father "I love you" and we all couldn't handle the adorbs!

After thanking the crowd, Johnson shared his favourite quote, “It’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.”

The Rock's star is the 2,624th to be awarded. Johnson, who is amongst the highest paid actors in Hollywood, will be next seen in film Jumanji 2.
