Netflix acquires first Indian original movie titled Love Per Square Foot
This just in: Netflix has bagged its first Indian original movie titled Love Per Square Foot, from Ronnie Screwvala's independent production house RSVP.
As reported by DNA India, the movie is described as a romantic comedy about a man and a woman who enter into a marriage of convenience to buy an apartment in Mumbai.
Love Per Square Foot will be the first mainstream Indian movie to directly premiere on Netflix and will be available globally to over 100 million members in 190 countries. Netflix said the film will release in early 2018.
The film has been snapped up from Ronnie Screwvala's new independent production house, RSVP.
Co-produced with Still and Still Pictures, the movie features Vicky Kaushal (Masaan), Angira Dhar (web series Bang Baja Baarat), Ratna Pathak (Sarabhai vs Sarabhai), Supriya Pathak (Khichdi), and Raghuvir Yadav (Lagaan). Love Per Square Foot is also the feature directorial debut of actor Anand Tiwari (Udaan).
