Mohammad Amir and wife Narjis blessed with a baby girl

Pakistan's paceman Mohammad Amir and his wife Narjis welcomed a baby girl into this world Tuesday morning.

Amir took to Twitter to share his excitement and posted a photo of the newborn with caption: Shukar Allhumdulilah blessed with the Rehmat of Allah Mashallah.

The couple have named their daughter Minsa.

The cricketer, who is currently in England, will not be part of the T20 series set to take place today onward.

Amir was awaiting the birth of his child during the series line up and though his name was included in the list, he will not be part of the series this year, reported ESPN Cricinfo.

"There is no change of plan as we had already named a 16-man squad with Sohail Khan as an extra bowler with Amir expecting his first baby. Unfortunately he isn't available, but we have full options available," said the Pakistani captain Sarfraz Ahmed at a press conference.

Amir and Narjis tied the knot last year in September. We wish the new parents a lifetime of happiness with their new bundle of joy!
