Atif Aslam's next song is going to be in Bengali

It's no secret that Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has quite a fanbase in India.

And the ex-Jal lead singer does not shy away from bringing something new to the table for his audience there.

The vocalist has achieved another feat in his music career as he took on singing in Bengali for an upcoming production from Tollywood called Cockpit.

It's a love song called Mithe Alo, the teaser for which was released a couple of days ago, and has attracted around 100,000 views already.

Atif explained his experience of singing in a foreign language, saying it is a challenging task as "you have to be careful about the pronunciations and the dialect".

"But I love challenges," the singer added.

"I had to understand the subject of the song," Atif said, elaborating that to ensure accuracy, he spoke to a couple of friends whose native language was Bengali.

"The music director also helped me with the dialect," he added.

However, sadly the artist did not confirm the date when the song will be made available to the public.
